Deco metallic burgundy tights

For fall and winter 2012, we have gone from the era of 1960s Mad Men to a 1940s “vampy vixen” vibe. Cat eye eyeliner with red or burgundy lips and a strong shoulder silhouette graced the runways, with deep rich jewel tones, metallics and black in clothing, shoes and hosiery. Colorful shoes are a hot trend for fall in jade, cobalt blue, teal and purple. In Style magazine showcased teal and raspberry shoes with plum-colored tights, cobalt blue shoes with sheer black pantyhose with dots and oxblood (burgundy) colored shoes with gray fishnet tights. Nude heels continue to be a fashion “do” with sheer pantyhose or camel colored fishnets to provide you with an unbroken vertical line that makes your legs look miles long. Your basic black heels can be dressed up for the season by pairing them with  metallic burgundy tights, cobalt blue fishnets , black lace foot covers or black lace tights. If you’re looking for something a little more tame for the office, pair a jewel toned shoe with nude pantyhose with a subtle diamond and dot pattern to continue that 40s flair.

Black is hot (isn’t it always???) showing up in black leather with laser cut lace patterns, sheer black chiffon and black lace tights in an edgy, but feminine look.

Metallics are everywhere, but a little can go a long way, so limit your outfit to one metallic item. Although metallic jeans are in, we think this is a trend that will last one season. Better to invest in a metallic bag, shoes or tights with metallic accents. We love the Diamante black tights with a silver shimmer effect.
